Ronald received an Bachelor of Science in Electric Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Ronald is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Avere Systems, Inc. Prior to Avere, Ronald was a senior vice president at NetApp. Before NetApp, he was CEO and co-founder of Spinnaker Networks. Ron also served as vice president of product architecture of FORE Systems, where he was responsible for ATM products. Previously, he co-founded Scalable Networks, and earlier in his career, he was a professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Ronald holds 24 patents related to fault-tolerant distributed systems and high-speed network design and has published extensively in scientific journals.
